Anoka Varsity Girls Hockey Team Wins in Overtime

In the the November 30th game against Blaine, the Anoka Varsity girls’ hockey team beat the Bengals 3-2 in overtime. It was an exciting game, with much competition on both sides. The score was 0-0 after the first period, and right away at the start of the second, Blaine scored the first point, with Emily Brigham from Anoka scoring shortly after. The score was 2-1 for Anoka thanks to a second point from Blair Parent in the third period, and Blaine scored again with four minutes left. With the score then 2-2, the game went into overtime and with five minutes left,  Katie Johnson scored the winning shot. After this win, Anoka is tied for 1st in the conference with Coon Rapids and Elk River. The team is going strong, with a record of 4 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie.
