Falcons swept away by vicious Tornadoes

The Anoka girls volleyball team easily sent the Armstrong Falcons home on Tuesday, winning three of three games.
From the start, Anoka kept Armstrong on their toes with an aggressive offense. Senior Lexi Robinson agrees that offense is definitely Anoka’s strong point.
“Number 8 was really good and really tall…[but] we pretty easily handled them,” she says.
Emily Peterson was consistent all night long with incredibly impossible digs while Emma Sorteberg and Sarah Lindall effectively blocked a series of oncoming balls. Both Robinson and Mikayla Gallagher surprised their opponents with killer spikes; Ashley Theonnes and Alyssa Tyler kept the Falcons anxious with their serves.
The Anoka girls won each round, 25-15, 25-6, and 25-21. Their next game is October 12 at 7:00PM.
